Interior & Exterior Doors

Create a statement entrance or maintain the period of your home with bespoke doors

As designers, we know that the entrance to a house or apartment sets the scene for the whole home. We work on many styles of home, including Grade II listed houses and apartments that have very particular requirements regarding exterior appearance. This means that our Joinery team often has to craft doors to adhere to very specific requirements, not just in the design itself but in the materials, colours and finishes used.

There may be more than one ‘exterior’ door.  There’s usually the main door into the home itself, and then perhaps an interior porch with glazed doors into the entrance hall. Of course, our Design team will liaise with the relevant planning authority and obtain any consents needed to ensure the Joinery brief will be accurate.  

For interior doors, our Joinery team can construct new sets of doors throughout the home working to a particular style to create a cohesive interior look for the entire project, or they may look to replicate existing doors to extend a style theme further. It’s all in the detail, so the new doors will have the same proportions and structure, whether they’re a  panelled or flush design.

The team can work with solid timber, engineered or laminated timbers, depending on the level of decorative finish required. Glass doors are often used for interiors, to help with the flow of light and to add a sense of space to a layout. Glazing can be multi-pane or single pane, and can often include glazed room divider panels to match the room doors. If a paint finish is specified, it can be sprayed or hand painted, depending on the look required. 

All the doors made by our Joinery team will have been specified to certain levels of security, including fire resistance and sound proofing and bullet proofing. The Joinery team will also be in communication with specialist advisors regarding alarm and AV security systems when installing exterior doors.
